MediaSignage Inc, a provider of entry-level and enterprise digital signage software and hardware solutions, announced its roadmap through the next several quarters.
Over the next several months of development, the company will be releasing varying stages of its mediaTOUCH product, an interactive solution that includes many features specific to interactivity and advanced multi-touch, according to a company press release. The mediaTOUCH enhancements include greater back-end control of touch content, multi-touch, new product components and further GPU enhancements that will make the user experience for interactive digital signage more seamless and easy-to-use, the release said.
The company also says it intends to integrate Google's updated WebKit into the SignagePlayer for Windows to take advantage of some of the latest enhancements inherent in using HTML5.
In addition, the company is looking to integrate its solution for greater use across all devices. This push includes a SignagePlayer application that resides on Apple TV, allowing Apple TV users to utilize it as another avenue for delivering digital signage experiences, the release said. The push toward Apple will also include a new SignageStudio dmg native for Mac OS, giving enhanced capabilities across varying operating systems.
Future enhancements also include a new StudioDashboard API for the company's advertising buying and sharing engine, the mediaADNET, as well as enhancements to the company's mediaTV capture card tool for Windows for integrating live streaming support into the SignageStudio and SignagePlayer, the release said.
The company said it also intends to add next-generation YouTube components for Windows and Android, further increasing the availability of various types of digital signage content to businesses small and large.
"We are excited about our latest product roadmap and we are confident our new additions to the system will add a large amount of value to our current and future clients, both small and large," said Sean Levy, CEO of MediaSignage. "We are relentlessly committed to our customers and we believe the new features will further enhance the customer experience, giving our users the one-stop-shop for all their digital signage and digital menu board needs”
MediaSignage's open source code will remain frozen through 2016 as the company looks to complete and solidify the product roadmap and new features through that time, the release said. However, once the current roadmap is complete, the code will be available for application development from third parties.
