ComQi executive Stu Armstrong talked at this year's New York Customer Engagement Technology World show about his firm's new partnership with Shazam, the nearly ubiquitous smartphone app.
ComQi is working to expand the value proposition and footprint of digital out-of-home, and that includes increasing the bi-directional dialogue between consumers the content on screen, Armstrong said. Using audio in digital signage as the means of connecting digital out-of-home to viewers' mobile phones is a novel concept, and one of the more interesting announcements from the show.
Armstrong also talked about the continued growth of the rebranded consumer engagement show, formerly KioskCom and The Digital Signage Show.
