PresentationPoint releases Split-Flap TV platform

Belgium-based PresentationPoint has introduced its Split-Flap TV platform.

Featuring the retro style of split flap ads, the digital boards feature rotating content that can include live data updates, static text, waiting room status, and more, according to a press release. The platform aims to bring an element of nostalgia to transportation hubs like airports along with medical offices, restaurants, and other use cases. Designed to be brand-agnostic, the cloud-based system can be run on a smart TV and managed using a computer or mobile device, with a customizable display and sound effects for transitions.

"Fifty years ago, the mechanical information board was born," Kurt Dupont, owner, PresentationPoint, said in the release. "Nowadays, while everyone is using full digital information boards, we've developed the Split-Flap TV, an affordable split flap simulation for companies and brands who want to be retro and nostalgic by using these boards — complete with their typical clicking sounds when they update."
