Laser projector allows 'temporary digital graffiti'

The New York-based Graffiti Research Lab has released the source code for its "L.A.S.E.R. Tag" project, a system that allows an artist with a laptop and high-end projector to create "temporary digital graffiti" on the side of any building.

While the technology is currently being used strictly for "urban communication" for graffiti artists, it seems only a matter of a time before a marketing entity uses it in a systematic way to display an advertiser-driven message.
