Hyundai to feature on Piccadilly Lights

The iconic London advertising location Piccadilly Lights was shut down for renovation. Hyundai, a past advertiser at the Lights, has announced it plans to display its messages for the location when it reopens this fall, according to an announcement.

When reopened, the location will feature a single 790 square meter screen, which will be subdivided into six segments. The location will also feature 4k resolution, Wi-Fi, car recognition technology and environmental responsiveness.

"This is an exciting day for Piccadilly Lights. While we've briefly said goodbye to the Lights as we know them, we're very pleased to announce that Hyundai will be joining Coca-Cola and Samsung on the exciting list of global brands set to call the new space home," Tim Bleakley, CEO of Outdoor Ocean, the company appointed to operate the site, said in the announcement. "Once switched back on in autumn 2017, the upgraded screen will be the most advanced advertising display on this scale anywhere in the world, a space where only imagination can limit what's possible for brands like Hyundai."
