Dynamic digital displays installed in Uniqlo's 1st Florida store

Gable, a Baltimore-based digital technology and visual solutions company, recently completed the installation of dynamic digital displays inside Uniqlo's first Florida store in Disney Springs, according to a press release from Gable.

Uniqlo, a retailer with more than 1,400 stores in 16 markets worldwide, began working with Gable in 2015. For Uniqlo's newest U.S. location, Gable installed an array of digital tickers. Two 4-mm high-resolution round tickers were placed on the first floor, the release said. Each ticker is 1 foot tall with a circumference of 10-feet The largest ticker wraps around the store's main escalator, measuring 10 feet wide by 3 feet tall and offering 6-mm resolution. Another 6-mm ticker display, on the second floor of the store, measures 74 feet wide by 8 inches tall. The tickers provide the retailer with functionality by allowing the option to display video content that can be operated by the retailer for events, sales or other purposes.

Gable also partnered with Acquire, a Leicester, U.K.-based provider of digital signage media player software and content management solutions, to make sure Uniqlo's tickers in Disney Springs offered smooth playback. Acquire built a custom scroller feature for Uniqlo that supports ultra-smooth scrolling of multiple lines across multiple viewports. A website enables Uniqlo to preload text messages and assign them to any of the scrollers.

Additionally, Gable installed a high-resolution LED video display at the Disney Springs location. A round 4-mm video display, measuring 2.5 feet tall with a circumference of 10-feet, was installed on the store's first floor. Also on the first floor are two 4.81-mm video displays that each measure 6½ feet wide by 13 feet tall, the release said.

Uniqlo has selected Gable to install dynamic digital displays in three more of its U.S. openings.
