Videotel Digital, a manufacturer of industrial digital signage media players, industrial DVD players and interactive digital signage solutions, has announced its partnership with Turtle Beach Corporation to use the company’s HyperSound directed audio technology, according to a press release from Videotel. Turtle Beach Corporation designs audio products for the consumer, commercial and health care markets.
The two companies have partnered to provide the retail marketplace with interactive solutions using HyperSound directional speakers that give a 3D audio effect in a specific location, making the listener feel like they’re wearing a surround-sound headphone without actually wearing a headphone. With HyperSound directional audio integrated into Videotel's interactive digital signage solutions, Videotel will now be able to create private listening zones tied to specific consumer products, the release said. By directing audio to intended individuals only, multiple audio zones can be enabled without disrupting other displays.
HyperSound directional speakers and Videotel solutions increase the effect to attract consumers to a display, enhance engagement and increase dwell time, according to the release. Essential for exhibits, the immersive experience boosts the likelihood of passersby seeking the product advertised.
