Stratacache launches transportation division, hires Mark Mayfield to head

Stratacache has hired Mark Mayfield to serve as vice president of its new transportation division. This division will promote the use of digital signage and other marketing technology in the transportation industry, according to a press release.

Stratacache will offer transportation owners and operators key insights into customers' behaviors and patterns with its in-house, location-based marketing and analytics platform.

"There is a clear trend toward airports and airlines seeking the power and flexibility of a consolidated digital signage platform over the traditional approach of disparate systems for flight information display, check-in operations, digital advertising and wayfinding, among others," Mayfield said in the release. "Stratacache's technology and solutions add value that others cannot. Beyond the scope of streamlined content management and operations, the level of traveler experience that digital innovation can deliver is something others aren't even thinking about at this time."

Prior to joining Stratacache, Mayfield worked for 14 years with SITA, an airport IT company.
