John Wayne gets on board with Titan Air

October 25, 2012

Titan has landed a five-year contract for advertising within John Wayne Airport in Orange County, Calif., Southern California's second-largest airport, according to a company announcement.

The new competitively won contract could run through to 2022, if a five-year extension term is granted. Titan said it will begin working with John Wayne Airport immediately to build and install media. All previous media has been removed, allowing Titan the opportunity to create a wholly new advertising and communications environment that will add to the passenger experience and enable advertisers to reach their audiences in new and interesting ways, while maintaining the aesthetics of the airport, the company said.

With the John Wayne Airport's nearly 9 million passengers per year, Titan said it is now "a one-stop-shop for advertisers in the Orange County and Los Angeles area."

"We are excited to add a new airport to Titan Air, our growing airport division," said Titan President and CEO Don Allman, in the announcement. "Our already strong presence and passion for Southern California is reinforced with this addition, allowing us to deliver comprehensive solutions to our advertising partners."

Titan will make a significant capital investment in new signage as part of the association. There will be an initial build of new displays including digital signage, banners, jet bridge wraps and backlit displays. The digital build will include displays in areas that have high dwell times, such as baggage claim areas. Titan will manage the content of the digital displays.

This is the second airport contract won since the launch of Titan Air in August of this year, following the signing of a similar deal with Westchester County (N.Y.) Airport.
