DT Research has upgraded its digital menu boards with a Media Wizard for Advertisement Applications to allow restaurants to showcase HD advertisements and promotions on LED digital menus. Restaurants can also use the system to comply with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's Menu Labeling Requiring Act, according to a press release.
The FDA's new regulation requires restaurants to provide nutritional information on their menus. DT Research's new system is designed to supply this need by allowing restaurants to integrate their menu databases with their point-of-sale systems. The new system comes with the following features:
- POR API or database integration to display information on LED screens;
- Customized resolution for advertising and promotions;
- WebDT Content manager software; and
- Media expiration tool for restaurants to set the start and end times of a media item.
"We are committed to helping restaurants maximize digital menu boards to enhance and simplify their business," said Daw Tsai, Sc.D., president of DT Research. "These new capabilities can help food establishments generate advertising revenue using digital menu boards and ease compliance with the upcoming FDA Menu Labeling requirement."
