CBS affiliate upgrades studio with more than 40 displays
WJAX TV, a CBS affiliate based in Jacksonville, Florida, recently teamed up with integrator Advanced to upgrade its studio with more than 40 displays. Advanced integrated a HyperPixel 1.5-millimeter LED display into the primary anchor desk, according to a press release.
The company also provided a central 9-by-3 panel videowall and 2-by-4 panel monitors with NEC's ultra thin bezel LCD displays. TVOne also worked with Advanced to integrate 12 different video connectors into the production staff's switcher to allow them to manage 12 signals to different monitors, according to the release.
"The new displays served as key disseminators of information throughout Hurricane Irma's impact in Florida," Mark McPherson, vice president of Advanced, said in the release. "It's exciting to see how displays can transform a news broadcast. The entire team is thrilled with the end result, and we're very proud of the work we did for WJAX."
