Cali Mexican-American restaurant tunes in to animated digital menu boards

May 9, 2013

Peter's El Loco, a California quick service restaurant, has replaced its old-school plastic menu boards with animated dynamic digital signage menu boards from MEDIAPRO.

MEDIAPRO Marketing Director Ben Wheeler said that Peter Arellano, the owner and namesake of the 42-year-old Covina, Calif., mainstay, was looking to freshen his restaurant's look.

"(Peter) wanted to change the dynamics of the restaurant and saw the menu boards as a way to modernize his storefront, and more importantly, drive more sells of existing product by featuring El Loco food products in a highly appealing way," Wheeler said in a news release. "El Loco has a large number of menu items along with plenty of window signage. (He) saw the vision of getting all of these items off the window and onto the menu boards."

MEDIAPRO will design, deploy and manage the boards, Wheeler added, and work to provide Peter's El Loco a new vehicle to showcase menu items and combination meals with high-resolution food shots, coupled with MEDIAPRO's animated characters and food enhancements.
