Barix delivers audio signage solution
Barix plans to reveal its third generation AudioPoint platform at the ISE 2018 conference in Amsterdam from Feb. 6-9. The audio signage platform delivers audio to digital signage over a local Wi-Fi connection, according to a press release.
AudioPoint 3.0 is an all-in-one integrated solution, so users do not need an external channel server. It supports single and multi-channel audio streaming for up to 250 users. Other features include:
- Supports most routers
- Reduced latency
- Delivers audio via Wi-Fi access point to allow consumers to access from their phones.
- Compatible with Barix Audio Signage App
"Barix was at the forefront of the BYOD trend with AudioPoint upon its introduction five years ago," Reto Brader, vice president of sales and marketing, Barix, said in the release. "The low price of Barix AudioPoint 3.0, combined with the fact that users bring their own receiver devices, has opened new markets for this solution. Even smaller venues and facilities can now provide targeted personal audio streams to end users. Lower delay means support for new applications, such as hearing-impaired audiences at live events including live corporate presentations, local stage performances, worship services, promotional vehicles, and entertainment experiences."
