Working Solutions (Creative IT) Ltd. worked with Virgin Media to combine visual and auditory stimulation and interaction in its stand at this year's The Gadget Show Live 2012 in the U.K., according to an announcement from the company.
Visitors to the Virgin Media stand were invited to tweet their favorite songs to contribute to a virtual jukebox, which was being streamed to the stand by the online digital music service Spotify.
The stand was filled with a range of screens and video walls that not only allowed Virgin Media to display their visitors' messages but also their Twitter profiles and song requests.
The software behind the video wall was powered by Signage2Go which is the latest digital display solution to join Working Solutions' Acquire product range. Signage2Go, which should be released in May, is a software-as-a-service product that allows digital displays to be easily created and updated from anywhere in the world using any Web browser, the company said.
By monitoring the Twitter hashtag the software identified song requests and enabled real-time updates to a live jukebox while simultaneously generating a Top 10 list of the most requested songs.
"We knew that our new SaaS based Signage2Go software would help to create an enhanced interactive experience for gadget enthusiast visiting the Virgin Media stand," said Neil Farr, director of Working Solutions (Creative IT) Ltd., in the announcement. "We customized the software to meet the requirements of the Virgin Media brand, which provided the team with the flexibility to rapidly update the messages displayed from any computer or device throughout the show.
The exhibition drew hundreds of Tweets throughout the show.
"We are receiving more and more requests for Social Media integration with digital displays and we are delighted to be able to provide a solution," Farr said.
