Singapore airport makes smooth landing with LED displays
Changi Airport in Singapore recently teamed up with NanoLumens to deploy two LED displays to boost passenger experience. The company provided a 70-meters wide by 5-meters tall Immersive Wall display in T4's security screening area and a 10-meter- wide by 6-meter- tall in the Heritage Zone departure area, according to a press release.
The 6-millimeter pixel pitch Immersive Wall display showcases -D animations of life in Singapore and a video showing luggage's journey from check-in to the plane. The Heritage Zone display, on the other hand, plays the 1930s movie "Peranakan Love Story," according to the release.
"After a series of grueling demonstrations, investors, executives and government representatives all scored the displays on visual appeal and underlying technology, and unanimously voted NanoLumens the best of the best. We met or beat every spec they required, including weight, power draw, brightness, viewing angles electromagnetic compatibility and electronic magnetic interference limits," Almir DeCarvalho, vice president of sales, NanoLumens, said in the release.
