SignStix and Selectronic debut digital shelf-edge solution

SignStix recently teamed up with optoelectronics company Selectronic to create a digital shelf-edge solution. The solution, called Edge by Slectronic, integrates Selectronic's digital shelf-edge screens with SignStix's cloud-based platform for content delivery and management, according to a press release.

Retailers can use the solution to push promotional campaigns to shelves and merchandising areas. They can also integrate loyalty card incentives, online reviews, offers and dynamic pricing, according to the release.

"We've been able to adapt the SignStix player software to enable up to seven individual shelf-edge screens to act as one canvas. Using the existing, award winning creator and director tools from SignStix, any retailer can quickly develop really engaging shelf-edge promotions without the need to produce video or manage complex software," Nick Fearnley, CEO of SignStix, said in the release. "Not only can we better engage customers this way, we can better manage picking/restocking, as SignStix enables the switch from promotion to 'merchandising' mode when required. This technology should change both the customer experience and the store colleague and operational experience."

Retailers can also control shelf-edge content from their phones via the SignStix Commander application.
