Signagelive has launched its Web Triggers API to allow third-party apps to change the content on system-on-chip displays and external players. Users can change the content on these Signagelive connected devices remotely in real time, according to a press release.

Customers can use Web Triggers API for emergency messages, assisted point of sale or mass notifications. Customers can also create voice activated digital signage with the API.

"The public launch of our Web Triggers API has been widely anticipated by our resellers and development community," Marc Benson, CTO of Signagelive, said in the release. "We have been working with numerous companies and individuals during our beta testing phase and are excited to see the range of applications that they will bring to market utilizing the Web Triggers API."
