Samsung has debuted the U.S. launch of a 13-inch Color E-Paper, which expands it energy-efficient display lineup with a compact option for flexible deployments.

The digital display combines digital ink technology and ultra-low-power operation and is designed with a bio-resin housing derived from phytoplankton, according to a press release.

"Modern businesses need signage that keeps pace with rapidly changing operations," Jonathan del Rosario, head of product, display solutions, Samsung Electronics America, said in the release. "With the new 13-inch addition to our Color E-Paper lineup, Samsung is delivering a compact, ultra-low power display that's easy to install in high-visibility areas. Organizations can keep customers and employees updated with the latest information without the added cost and effort of constantly reprinting materials."

Similarly sized to an A4 sheet of paper, the 13-inch Color E-Paper offers a signage solution for a wide range of environments, from retail shelves and restaurant counters to hotel lobbies and office workspaces.

Organizations can deploy digital signage to more locations and use cases than ever before, from small counters and doors to high-traffic public spaces. The content can be refreshed instantly, meaning no more ordering, printing or manually replacing signs for promotions, menus, schedules or updates.
