EXTON, Penn. — Scala Inc. announced it is teaming with Hammond Communications to provide Holzer Clinic with a state-of-the-art communications network called "Holzer Clinic TV," a lobby signage network consisting of 25 screens.
Holzer Clinic employs a staff of more than 100 board-certified physicians and 800 support staff in eight (soon to be nine) locations in the Southeast Ohio River Valley. The operation treats nearly a half-million patients each year, many of whom travel as far as 60 miles to visit the clinics. The main facility is located near Gallipolis, Ohio, a historic community with a total population of about 10,000 people.
The eight locations vary widely in the number of specialties and services offered. One location might offer 20 specialties and 18 additional services while the next location has three medical specialties and seven services. The desire to cross-promote services from one location to another led to the creation of "Holzer Clinic TV."
The Hammond/Scala digital signage solution for the Holzer Clinic is a three-zone display design that includes live TV cable feed, a rich-media area to promote the clinic and a locally controlled text-scroll message.
