New line of touchscreen digital directory kiosks debuts

August 3, 2016

Digital signage and wayfinding solutions provider DigitalSignBuilder.com announced the immediate availability of its turnkey touchscreen kiosks, according to a company press release.

The kiosks have more than 30 features and each kiosk ships out-of-the-box ready to use. Before shipping each kiosk DigitalSignBuilders will custom create all content, set up software and pre-configure the kiosk for immediate use.

The company said it is aiming to simplify the process of successfully deploying interactive digital signage kiosks.

"These touchscreen kiosks are for companies needing a total solution. Every DigitalSignBuilder kiosk includes all of the essential elements required— software, media player, content creation, commercial grade kiosk, and full support," said Chad Bogan, director of distribution for DigitalSignBuilder. "One customer favorite feature is the 3D Touchscreen Wayfinding Maps. These directory maps provide users with turn by turn directions to any destination on or off premise. The creation of the 3D maps and other touchscreen content is included with the kiosk. "

Customers may add a series of touchscreen feature buttons to the displays layout of each kiosk, enabling users to navigate through multiple pages of content and media. Features available in the kiosks include:

  • built-in touchscreen keyboard for easy interactions;
  • interactive screensaver with built-in welcome messages;
  • real-time public transportation listings;
  • interactive directory with searchable event listings;
  • promote on-site amenities, services and products;
  • add pinch-and-zoom media galleries;
  • securely integrate any website with interface of content;
  • interactive Instagram, Twitter and Facebook social media streams;
  • incorporate interactive surveys to gain feedback;
  • add an FAQ button with common customer questions;
  • Spotlight interactive products gallery;
  • feature local points-of-interest map with area attractions and restaurants;
  • integrate loyalty or rewards programs;
  • multi-language support with automatic language translator; and
  • touchscreen content auto-adjusts to meet ADA requirements.

Included with the kiosks is the option for a touchscreen directory with wayfinding map, the release said. The pinch-and-zoom 3D maps provide turn-by-turn directions and visual aids to help visitors locate meetings, events, promotions, business or other destinations within a customer's facility. Directions can be chosen to be sent to a mobile device via text message or email.
