NEC unveils collaboration suite for education

NEC Display Solutions of America has launched its CB Series Collaboration Suite, a out-of-the-box integrated solution for education. The series features multi-platform support with a 4K display and interactive whiteboard capabilities, according to a press release.

The series includes the CB651Q, CB751Q and CB861Q in 65, 75 and 86-inch sizes respectively. It uses Mosaic Canvas to deliver whiteboard functionality and Mosaic Connect for screen sharing. Other features include:

• 10-point IR touch.
• Two built-in 12W speakers.
• Magnetized passive pens.
• A natural-feeling writing experience.
• Anti-glare protective glass.
• 330 cd/m2 brightness.
• 16GB internal storage.
• Built-in system-on-a-chip with Mosaic Canvas and Connect.
• Windows, Linux, Mac, Android and Chrome compatibility.

"For customers who need a best-in-class collaboration solution for modern classrooms and corporate meeting rooms, the CB Series offers a value packed collaborative solution based on NEC's Mosaic Canvas and Connect software, supplemented by the built-in media player and amplified speakers," Chris Feldman, product manager, NEC Display, said in the release. "With 4K UHD picture and integrated IR touch capabilities, the collaboration suite creates an immersive collaborative experience with minimal setup."
