Mega church showcases power of prayer with media player

Crossroads Church, a mega church with five Ohio locations and one Kentucky location, will showcase the power of prayer with the help of Videotel Digital's digital signage media player. The church is using the P71XD Industrial Digital Signage Media Player for an art installation called a "Prayer Experience," according to a press release.

"We operate what we call a 'Prayer Experience' which is best described as a temporary art installation," Patrick Buescher, a representative of Crossroads Church said in the release. "There are many rooms through this audio-guided tour that have different environments, some of which use projection mapping as an element. After running into issues with computer software playback, we chose to find the simplest solution available. We needed one box that just plays a video on a loop reliably." 

The Videotel media player is designed with several features including:

• An automatic content looper and a built-in scheduler to schedule content for different times of day;
• The ability to automatically reboot in the event of a power outage;
• The ability to make interactive content by connecting to LED buttons, interplay modules and motion and proximity sensors.

"We are very happy with the reliability, quality, and simplicity of the players we purchased from Videotel Digital," Buescher said. "Each unit replaced $1800 in computers and software and have been significantly more reliable and user-friendly."
