The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority has granted Outfront Media, an OOH media company, the right to advertise on the authority's buses, subways and commuter rail. Outfront will deploy bus sides, subway media powers and its digital advertising platform called ON Smart, according to a press release.
Outfront will deploy its Liveboard digital displays to offer wayfinding, information and advertising. Boston is currently the eighth-ranked designated market area in the U.S., which makes it an ideal market for Outfront, according to the release.
"We're thrilled to be partnering with the MBTA to connect the city's transit system with Outfront's dynamic technology solution and vast network of local and national advertisers," Jeremy Male, chairman and CEO of Outfront Media, said in the release. "The MBTA team sees a future where digital signage powers a vastly more dynamic experience that will benefit both passengers and advertisers alike."
