The British Columbia Lottery Corp. is scratching off a digital signage winner at its flagship Lotto Signature Store.
The BCLC's Lotto Signature Store in the Metropolis at Metrotown mall in Burnaby, B.C., offers a variety of both touch- and gesture-interactive digital signage experiences from Carmanah Signs Inc. "designed to bring more energy and entertainment to traditional lottery games," according to a release from Carmanah, the gaming division of Dayton, Ohio-based digital signage software provider Stratacache.
The store's showcase experience is a large 10-foot-by-7.3-foot gestural video wall — an interactive player experience that uses gestural technology combined with a digital camera to bring the player straight into a background of their choosing. The gestural video wall is a quick, 10-second interactive experience targeted to appeal to Millennials and others who enjoy immersive technology and social media.
In addition to the gestural video wall, the new store offers 11 other digital screen experiences. There is a lounge with a Keno screen and sports event screen, where players are able to relax and watch Keno results or place sports bets.
