LG Business Solutions and Adflow recently partnered with the Midwest grocery store chain Fareway Stores Inc. to deploy digital signage to all 125 of its locations in Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, Nebraska and South Dakota. The chain plans to have the rollout completed by 2020, according to a press release.
Fareway initially selected LG and Adflow to create a signage system to go in its meta department to inform guests and take the pressure off employees.
LG Business Solutions and Adflow created a digital signage solution to provide dynamic visual updates on pricing and sales for meat products, as well as offering food pairing suggestions and health facts. LG provided its 55SM5KE displays with Adflow's Dynamic Messaging System content management software, according to the release.
"We were attracted to the ease in which content can be managed through the LG displays, allowing us to add a more personalized touch while complementing additional marketing materials that highlight our quality selections," Jeff Cook, VP of retail market operations, Fareway, said in the release. "Because of the initial success, we’ve started expanding to other departments, adding additional LG displays in the produce section of select locations to continue to bring an elevated experience to our customers in other areas."
