IBASE Technology Inc., a manufacturer of industrial motherboards and embedded systems, has introduced its new SI-102-424 fanless digital signage player based on the Embedded G-Series SoC designed for digital signage, retail or hospitality applications.
The SI-102-424 Signature Book takes advantage of the high-performance, low-energy-consumption and APU-integrated Radeon 8KE graphics, is driven by a 2.4GHz Quad-Core APU that combines the CPU and GPU onto a single chip. The SI-102-424 also is designed to operate 24/7 in commercial environments, and the system offers support for DirectX 11.1 and Unified Video Decoder (UVD4.2) that features H.264 hardware acceleration, VC-1 high-definition video, as well as MPEG-2 and MPEG4(DivX), allowing the CPU to do other tasks.
Measuring 220 mm by 147 mm by 25 mm, the SI-102-424 comes with 4G DDR3L SO-DIMM memory, 64GB mSATA and a 60W power adaptor. External I/O interface provided includes 2x HDMI 1.4a, 3x USB ports, 2x RJ45 for Giga LAN and RS232, 2x audio jacks for Line out/Line in, a power button and a DC power jack. A mini PCI-E(x1) slot for WiFi/Bluetooth, 3G and TV tuner options is available.
