Digital signage market to hit $33B in 4 years

Expert Market Research forecasts 8% compound annual growth in global digital signage, with the market reaching $33 billion in 2026, according to a press release.

"Additionally, various technological advancements, such as the integration of biometric technology with digital signage products, are acting as other growth-inducing factors," stated the release. The largest markets remain in North America and Europe, followed by the Asia Pacific region (with notable growth in India and China.) The report names the top five industry leaders as NEC Corp., LG Electronics Inc., Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd, Panasonic Corp., Sony Corp. and Planar Systems Inc., according to the release.

The forecast of growth is generally consistent with other industry forecasts. Previously, DST reported on the analysis by TBRC London, which predicts global industry growth to $28 billion by 2026. While the precise numbers remain to be seen, generous growth in the sector is to be expected in the coming years, and analysts agree that tech innovations, recovery from pandemic strictures and emerging markets will all be factors.
