Digital Caddies Inc., a provider of on-course technology services and content to golfers, has announced a new agreement with Golf Channel, a global multimedia and entertainment source for golfers. Digital Caddies will begin advertising two of Golf Channel's lifestyle brands, GolfNow and Golf Advisor. GolfNow, a tee-time reservation and golf course technology platform, works with more than 8,000 golf course partners around the world to help them more effectively and efficiently run their businesses. Golf Advisor is an online source for golf course ratings, reviews and recommendations by golfers, for golfers.
"Digital Caddies offers an opportunity for us to share our GolfNow and Golf Advisor brands with avid golfers during their round," said Jeff Foster, senior vice president of Golf Channel and GolfNow's New Media Group, in the announcement. "The interactive display will help us better connect golfers to the game, ultimately with the goal of helping more golfers play more golf."
According to the announcement, Digital Caddies currently has more than 11,000 interactive screens installed on more than 150 courses in the top 20 DMAs across the country, with new screens coming online daily.
Its network provides access to golfers via an interactive tablet mounted in golf carts, serving up content from course operators and advertisers aimed at engaging golfers. Digital Caddies' touchscreen tablets also offer golfers a variety of useful applications and services, including GPS-based course navigation and aerial fairway and green views with accurate yardages to landmarks.
"Adding two Golf Channel's brands, GolfNow and Golf Advisor, as advertisers on our network is an important milestone for our company, and we couldn't be more pleased," said Mike Loustalot, president of Digital Caddies. "For these two highly successful brands to recognize the opportunity our network presents — engaging our audience of golfers on-course during their round — is a great validation of our business model and our progress. We look forward to helping GolfNow and Golf Advisor achieve their objectives through integrated, interactive marketing campaigns while simultaneously providing our audience with rich and relevant content."
