City of Columbia deploys digital signage in visitor centers, airport

September 1, 2009 by James Bickers — Editor, Networld Alliance

The City of Columbia, Mo., announced it has installed a digital signage solution from X2O Media at various locations.

The City selected X2O's Xpresenter Xe, an all-in-one digital signage system. Professional Video Supply, a Midwest professional A/V installer, deployed one Xpresenter Xe system into the Columbia Chamber of Commerce and another in the Columbia Convention and Visitors Bureau. A third system was then installed at Columbia Regional Airport.

"The Xpresenter Xe was a perfect fit for this application," Brad Noblitt, sales engineer at Professional Video Supply, said in a press release. "Xe has the capability to communicate in an innovative and engaging media environment that is easy for every member of the city's staff to update from a simple Web page and PowerPoint."
