IDS Canada, a media company in Canada that focuses on health care waiting rooms, is collaborating with Signagelive to expand its digital poster network by adding a 50 screens, 25 in Vancouver and Montreal, respectively, taking the total number to more than 200, according to a press release from Signagelive. The announcement comes as part of IDS Canada's initiative to expand its digital offering in the Canadian market. By early 2017, another 50 screens will be added in Ottawa, Calgary and Edmonton.
The digital poster network is based on the Samsung Smart Signage Platform and powered by Signagelive's cloud-based SoC and HTML5 software. Content is delivered to the different display types and configurations over the internet, removing the need for onsite media players and delivering CAPEX and OPEX savings compared to conventional digital signage solutions, the release said.
"This project is a great win for Signagelive and a perfect example of how large-scale networks can be rolled out quickly, easily and cost effectively," said Jason Cremins, CEO of Signagelive. "Using Signagelive's intuitive cloud-based content management dashboard, IDS Canada can create and schedule targeted 30 second adverts for busy waiting rooms with high dwell times to encourage lifestyle buying decisions."
Signagelive's cloud-based SoC and HTML5 software is interactive and provides support for content formats that include static images, animated videos, web pages, IPTV, multi-zoning for different media types, image layering, RSS feeds, portrait support, and screen-on and off control. It also has interactive capabilities.
