Interactive mobile proximity advertising solutions provider iSIGN Media Solutions Inc. recently announced that its Australian reseller, JEA Technologies Pty Ltd., has secured its first major customer for the Chameleon software that manages content on digital signage.
The signage installation has commenced into an auto parts chain of 70 stores, according to the announcement. Based on the seven signs installed into the first location, 490 Chameleon licenses will be required to complete this network installation. Installation commenced on a store-by-store basis in early November, with completion projected to take place over the next several months.
The company said it has commenced invoicing of $125 U.S. per license as store installations are completed and this first Chameleon licensing agreement will yield $61,250 U.S. per year. JEA expects this agreement to lead into additional installations into hundreds of related stores in the coming months, according to the announcement
The Chameleon software was initially developed for iSIGN's Smart Player, which had been created for the quick service restaurant channel in North America. Plans are now to reintroduce both the Smart Player and the Chameleon content management software to the North American QSR channel.
The Smart Player is a commercial quality, all-weather, all-purpose digital signage and proximity marketing engine. It contains both the Chameleon content management software and the Smart Antenna Bluetooth and Wi-Fi Proximity Marketing transmitter, with Verizon wireless built in. As a component for drive-thru kiosks, the Smart Player delivers dual screen output to video displays, while communicating to the customers' smartphones.
