Russian digital signage integrator and distributor Adissy recently announced that it had selected BroadSign International as the provider of software for managing digital screens in more than 500 Rigla pharmacies across Russia.
The chain-wide deployment will start with a 10-store pilot that will be used to optimize network setup and validate content strategy. Depending on the size of the location, each Rigla pharmacy will be equipped with two to eight screens ranging from 24 inches to 42 inches in size.
According to Adissy CEO Alexander Pivovarov the 3.5-minute-long content loop will consist of 10- to 25-second spots that will advertise the pharmaceutical products available in the store, as well as announce internal promotions or sales. Rigla will handle advertising sales, while Adissy will operate the network, using AOpen media players for the deployment.
"The network of digital screens will allow Rigla to reduce the costs usually incurred by traditional in-store advertising and at the same time make communication with their customers less intrusive and more effective for promotions, up-selling and cross-selling," said Pivovarov.
Pharmacy chain Rigla was founded in 2001 and owns 578 pharmacies in 25 regions of Russia.
AOPEN is an Acer Group company that specializes in small form factor commercial, medical, and industrial computing, as well as touch display technology for digital signage, kiosks and POS solutions as a leading global hardware manufacturer.
