Bangalink has reported that 25 million users in Bangladesh have streamed FIFA this year using its Toffee platform, according to a press release.

As reported by Digital Signage Today in September, Bangalink (a VEON subsidiary) launched 4G networks across Bangladesh with an aim to enhance mobile and network connectivity, providing infrastructure for communication along with new opportunities for pDOOH, mobile engagement, augmented reality and more.

"We introduced the World Cup live streaming facility on Toffee to offer a superior quality viewing experience to millions of football fans in Bangladesh," Erik Aas, CEO of Banglalink, said in the release. "The overwhelmingly positive response shows the popularity of the streaming service and the potential of Toffee. We expect to see more views per match with the tournament reaching the more exciting quarter-final stage."
