Airports can be highly stressful environments for a variety of reasons. For one, passengers may have to rush to get to a connecting flight, or they might have to deal with delays or flights that change gates multiple times. Then, there's the fact that many passengers also have to spend long hours waiting in uncomfortable chairs.

In order to help relieve the stress of the airport grind, Towarowa Towers, a luxury apartment provider based in Poland, partnered with outdoor advertiser JCDecaux to deploy an AR relaxation zone at Warsaw Chopin Airport.

The zone consisted of a rectangular box with Towarowa branding on the outside, but the inside featured holograms and interactive virtual objects.

Customers would pass through AR content to enter the zone, which created the illusion of a smokescreen with branded imagery. Once inside, they could either relax on one of the orange cushions or play with interactive content. The content included images of the Towarowa buildings that customers could flip or play around with to get a better sense of the type of apartments that Towarowa offers.

The major goal of the deployment, according to a video from JCDecaux was to help customers relax and offer them information on real estate investment.

This isn't the first time JCDecaux has deployed AR campaigns. It has used everything from virtual shark attacks to virtual falling rose petals to draw users' attention. It also worked with the Hong Kong metro to celebrate the artistic diversity of the city with AR art pieces.

You can watch the relaxation zone in action in the video below.
