Zytronic to demonstrate narrow border touch tech
Zytronic plans to showcase its latest ZXY500 multitouch controllers at Digital Signage Expo being held March 28-29 in Las Vegas. These controllers will help enable nearly edgeless glass design alongside improved integration of peripherals such as near-field-communication payments, according to a press release.
Customers can use the ZXY500 touch controller to reduce glass borders to less than 10-millimeters for a 55-inch display. The tool offers a better signal to noise ratio for better noise immunity and useage of wireless technologies such as RFID, NFC and Qi battery charging. These tools typically emit signals that interfere with the operation of projected capacitive touchscreens, but the controller helps remove this interference.
"The ZXY500 controller range will significantly enhance the capabilities of our customers’ touchscreens, bringing a new level of touch performance to interactive self-service systems," Ian Crosby, global vice president of sales and marketing, Zytronic, said in the release. "The new feature set delivered by these class-leading touch controllers will free designers to create interfaces that are more capable than ever before."
