Visual Art sails into Denmark with acquisition of City Media

Visual Art, a DOOH and digital signage company based in Sweden, has acquired City Media, a high impact large format media company based in Denmark.

The company is attempting to tap into the immature DOOH advertising market in Denmark through this acquisition, according to a press release.

City Media currently generates $5 million in DOOH advertising and print services and holds 80 percent market share for large format OOH advertising in Denmark, according to the release. Visual Art has a variety of partners such as McDonalds, 7-Eleven and Circle K.

"Denmark is a sophisticated and mature consumer market, but digital displays in stores and out-of-home is not as advanced as it is in Sweden, which gives us an excellent opportunity to acquire market share rapidly," Andreas Lind, CEO of Visual Art, said in the release.
