Virginia amusement park boosts customer experience with digital signage
Kings Domain, an amusement park located near to Richmond, Virginia, recently replaced its static signs with digital signage. The park partnered with Mvix to deploy 10 outdoor displays throughout its picnic area, according to a press release.
The first display at the entrance of the area welcomes guest and shows how many picnic tables are open. A second display offers directions to the nearest picnic area. In each of the five areas, a display can be customized to display any information the group wants. For example, a corporate group could submit its logo to be shown on the display.
Mvix provided its software platform for the displays, which allows the park to integrate weather, traffic, social media feeds and picnic reservations, according to the release.
"The Mvix platform is exactly what we needed," Ron Sprouse, the IT manager at Kings Dominion, said in the release. "In fact, this was an important milestone for the marketing team — with less effort, they are able to offer picnic guests elevated experiences that have resulted in repeat business, positive reviews, and an enhanced brand image."
