Allentown, Pennsylvania-based UMix Media, a Web-based supplier of music, promotional messages and digital signage, today officially announced $19 monthly pricing for its streaming business music service and digital signage.
UMix Media said it has been serving local and national brand retailers and restaurants with business music and digital signage since 2009. The price had been $39 per month, but the move is aimed at capitalizing on the wider economic trend of better, faster, cheaper by significantly lowering the cost in an industry previously dominated by a legacy player — Muzak (now Mood Media).
"In February we cut our current customer's prices by more than half, and they absolutely loved it," said Franklin Tarantino, managing member of UMix Media, in the announcement. "The calls and emails of appreciation were very gratifying. UMix has always been about placing our customers in complete control."
Included in the price of $19 per month UMix said it offers advanced, business-grade features to provide clients with complete, unfettered control of what their customers hear and see. They can easily manage one or thousands of locations — with no long contracts or hassles — the company said. The $19 cost is not an introductory rate, but the normal ongoing rate, according to the announcement.
The response from prospects has also been terrific, the company said, generating interest from both small businesses and large, well-known brands. "Our on-boarding rate has increased nicely since we began letting prospects know about the new price," Tarantino said.
