The Digital Place Based Advertising Association has announced that Don Allman, president and CEO of Titan, has been voted onto the association's board of directors.

The Digital Place Based Advertising Association has announced that Don Allman, president and CEO of Titan, has been voted onto the association's board of directors. Titan is a the transportation sales company focused on providing innovative programs for municipalities and transit agencies, according to the DPAA. Titan is merging with Control Group to form Intersection, an urban experience company made possible by a strategic investment from a consortium led by Sidewalk Labs.
"Don is one of the real leaders in our space, and we are extremely happy that he will help steer our agenda during this exciting time of growth for the digital place-based industry," said Barry Frey, president and CEO, DPAA. "The innovative work that Titan is doing with partners to transform New York City pay phone kiosks into Wi-Fi connection points is indicative of Don's forward-thinking approach to our business. As a key part of Intersection, Don will take this expertise to help cities around the world re-imagine existing infrastructure for the digital age."
In the announcement, Allman said, "We are enthusiastic supporters of what Barry and his team are doing at DPAA. We look forward to continuing to grow the digital place-based sector and work with cities to take advantage of emerging opportunities to help their citizens stay connected and generate new revenue."
In his 38 years in the industry, Allman held key positions at Foster and Kleiser (now Clear Channel Outdoor) and TDI (now Outfront Media) before joining Titan in 2002. He has a track record of driving sales, business development, municipal bidding, contract administration and management, as well as developing Titan's digital vision, the DPAA said. He was recognized in 2008 as Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year in Media for the New York area.
Allman is a member of the board of directors of the Outdoor Advertising Association and the Traffic Audit Bureau.
