Texas Lutheran University ordering up digital menu boards for new student center

Texas Lutheran University is preparing to unveil digital menu boards for its WOW Café and Sandella's Flatbread Café dining area tenants at the newly renovated Alumni Student Center, according to an announcement from display provider Origin Display Group Inc.

Origin, a supplier of indoor, outdoor and digital menu boards, was selected by the project management firm Design Strategies + and Sodexo to provide its Origin Elite solution.

Professional hospitality project management firm DS+ developed TLU's project concept, budget and timeframe, and alongside Sodexo, vetted Origin Displays amongst others for the digital signage component, the announcement said. In addition, DS+ will oversee the installation for each of the units. Remote access and ease-of-use were key factors in the decision-making process, the company said. After being endorsed by DS+, Origin Displays had to go from green light to installation in less than two weeks, according to the announcement.

WOW Café: American Grill and Wingery, along with Sandella's Flatbread Café, will cut the ribbon on their TLU locations later this month. Each location will have multiple 42-inch monitors displaying the menu items to students, faculty and visitors to the campus.
