U.K.-based digital display specialist I-Led Media has completed its first major project for supermarket giant Tesco, installing a digital signage video "tweet" wall outside the Tesco Extra in Lincoln.
The company, which specializes in digital signage kiosks and high-bright digital displays, has installed a 3.7-meter-wide-by-2.3-meter-high (12.1-foot-wide-by-7.5-foot-high) external video wall featuring high bright screens by the entrance to the Tesco Extra that will be used to advertise a range of offers the store and chain is promoting.
I-Led Media installed the video wall as well as designing and manufacturing the weatherproof enclosure too. The I-Led-Team used five, 55-inch ultra-narrow-bezel screens in portrait mode, which have the potential to display either one message or five separate ones.
"Because the video wall is outside the store, one of the most important considerations of this project was which type of screen to use. We opted for full-HD LED backlit displays with a brightness of 1,500 NITS, meaning it is readable in very bright sunlight," I-Led Media Managing Director Andrew Simister said in the announcement. "Thanks to this installation, we have now been approached by a number of other businesses looking to advertise their products in a similar manner."
