StrandVision adds safety-themed digital signage templates to content library

Customer- or employee-facing communications library addresses occupational and personal safety; it's the third in a series of corporate sustainability-themed libraries covering 15 subject areas.

December 11, 2014

Menomonie, Wisconsin-based StrandVision Digital Signage has introduced a library of preproduced animated customer and employee communication electronic signage page templates that address occupational and personal safety.

As with the previously announced environmental and health/wellness libraries, the set of 50 safety-themed digital signage templates can be readily added to StrandVision customer electronic signage digital media player displays, the company said.

StrandVision's new communications library is intended to be ideal for both StrandVision Digital Signage employee communications and for customer-facing networks, the company said. It addresses a wide range of safety topics from general manufacturing safety, accident prevention and reporting, safe lifting reminders and other workplace topics, to personal safety topics such as child and vehicle safety and home security.

"This new free digital signage safety library complements our environmental and health and wellness libraries by extending our corporate responsibility communications offerings for StrandVision customers," StrandVision Founder and CEO Mike Strand said in the announcement. "We've found that many of our customers want this kind of information and have been searching for a convenient way to communicate safety topics. The library provides an easy, efficient way for our customers to add these important safety topics to their digital signage mix. It's a perfect addition for manufacturers and other companies that track and post safety information such as days without reportable incidents. It all fits in together to motivate the viewers to improve overall safety of the business, school or organization."

The communications library offers pages designed to be eyecatching, with animations that can become an integral part of an overall safety communications campaign with little effort, the company said. Each page consists of a graphic and a short, animated text message on the topic. The pages are set to random animation sequences and are added into the customer's normal digital signage page mix with a single click. Administrators simply select the safety category on their StrandVision Content Management System portal. The StrandVision system randomly selects from among the 50 safety subjects and automatically mixes the selections with one of several animation sequences and inserts a different subject-animation combination on each pass of the page loop.

The StrandVision Animated Template Communications Library covers 15 themes from diversity and ethics to safety and morale, quality and time management, spanning hundreds of specific subjects. Designed for both employee communication and general public audiences, the communications campaign library is designed to motivate, educate and inform digital signage viewers while demonstrating the customer organization's commitment to worthwhile personal and corporate initiatives.

The animated templates can be displayed in full-screen or in-frame formats. Administrators can define frequency and change default settings, such as scroll speed, and other functions, such as scheduling and expiration, to meet the needs of their particular display environments. The safety library can also be combined with the growing list of previously introduced StrandVision Communications Library offerings.

Safety communications campaign library template pages are available immediately at no charge to all StrandVision Digital Signage subscribers, as well as StrandVision Free Digital Signage Test Drive participants.
