Digital signage solutions firm Scala has announced that the company has officially started its Scala India operations in a joint venture between Scala and Digifour Technologies Ltd.
Dedicated business development, content innovation and technical support and development teams will operate out of the Scala India offices in Bangalore, better positioning the company to tap the high-growth Indian digital signage and advertising marketplace, the company said.
Scala India emerges from a joint venture between Scala Inc. and Digifour Technologies Pvt Ltd, a technology and digital signage service provider established in 2001. Since 2005, Digifour has pioneered Digital Dynamic Signage (DDS) technology in India and has become the leading comprehensive provider of DDS in multiple vertical markets in this country, according to Scala.
Scala India will concentrate its efforts on aggressively expanding the digital signage market and supporting existing Scala local customers and partners by offering a complete end-to-end digital signage solution, including software, hardware integration and hosting, content production, media and network management, and more, the company said.
Scala said the move also considerably strengthens its software development capabilities by integrating a team of highly-qualified software engineers in India, complementing Scala's development teams in the United States, Canada, France and Norway.
"India is an important emerging marketplace for digital signage, and by setting up the India office, Scala ensures that we are not only present at the heart of the market but also ready to expand our activities in this key market." Scala CEO Gerard Bucas said in the announcement.
