Raydiant recently introduced its virtual workspace and portal called the Virtual Room. The solution comes in two versions: a Microsoft Surface tablet enabled with kiosk touch technology, and a Raydiant-enabled TV using a plug-and-play ScreenRay device, according to a press release.
The solution splits a screen into three zones. The first is for videoconferencing, while the other two can be used for announcements, live feeds and other company messages. Users can also move between virtual rooms, and companies can use the solution to connect in-store customers to associates.
"In this changing economy, we saw the need to offer more solutions to support a rising remote workforce," Bobby Marhamat, CEO, Raydiant, said in the release. "Businesses with fully or partially remote teams are looking for a way to maintain a strong company culture, even when some or all of the team can't meet in person on a regular basis. They also need a way to stay connected and on the same page while remaining on task with their work. Virtual Room's 'second screen' communication hub, which is separate from their dedicated workspace, lets them do all of this."
