PRN to develop Condé Nast content for Checkout TV network

July 1, 2008

SAN FRANCISCO — Thomson's Premier Retail Networks Inc., which provides digital-media solutions at retail, and magazine and Web-site publisher Condé Nast Publications have announced plans to produce custom content for PRN's Checkout TV network in supermarkets nationwide.    According to a news release, PRN presents programming on more than 19,000 screens at supermarket and other retail locations. The comapny has more than 100 active content partnerships with many top television networks and publishers.   PRN is producing short-form content featuring cooking tips from Bon Appétit.com. The weekly video segments will run on PRN's multipaned eye-level screens, offering special previews of the weekly challenges on Food Network's "The Next Food Network Star."   PRN says its deal last summer with Bon Appétit resulted in a 20 percent sales lift for Bon Appétit's Summer BBQ issue at the checkout.
