LAS VEGAS — Mobile marketing company POP Solutions announced it is teaming with digital signage developer C-nario to provide a product that allows consumers to use their cell phones to interact with digital displays. The product will be debuted at the Out-of-Home Digital Networks Content Strategies and Awards Summit to be held in Las Vegas Feb. 21.
"Consumers have gotten used to the idea of texting responses to advertising messages, such as voting for their favorites on American Idol or texting a code to enter a contest," said Joe Gorelick, executive vice president of POP Solutions. "But when merged with digital signage, mobile messaging takes on a whole new personality. It allows targeting consumers when they are only a few steps away from the store and most likely to buy. What's more, the customer responses inform advertisers of consumer shopping habits and preferences enabling them to alter the message on the video screens to adapt to those preferences."
