Denver-based digital signage solutions provider Ping HD has launched its EngagePHD digital signage software platform, the company announced.
The launch is with support for Samsung's system-on-chip Smart Signage Platform, LG Electronics' "webOS for Digital Signage" platform, Windows 7/8.1 media players and HTML5-ready IAdea digital signage devices, according to the company.
EngagePHD is designed to be an easy-to-use, web-based, design, content management and network monitoring application. The application is designed to work with the intelligent displays manufactured by Samsung and their SSP platform along with LG Electronics' "webOS for Digital Signage" platform.
EngagePHD was developed to address growing needs for a low-cost, robust and scalable digital signage platform, the company said, and is designed for ease of use, easy out-of-the-box setup and for mobile updating. The platform also is designed to be optimized for digital menu board use, the company said, with an integrated product database at the heart of the platform. Integration with point-of-sale systems also is available.
It also features an integrated Events module; drag-and-drop design utility; an HTML5 custom widget editor; and player management and network monitoring capabilities.
"It is exciting to have witnessed the evolution in technology from early VHS video players and CRT Televisions, to the intelligent displays revolution which will undoubtedly force the re-thinking of the much trusted external media player, while at the same time make owning a digital signage network more affordable and reliable as ever," Ping HD Director of Digital Media Operations Kevin Goldsmith said in the announcement. "After several months of live Beta testing with some existing customers, we are pleased to formally launch EngagePHD with the immediate deployment of over 600 intelligent displays installed across the Philadelphia Phillies, Chicago White Sox, San Francisco Giants and numerous quick-serve restaurants throughout the United States."
