Perrier tests out AR campaign on 3D displays

Provision Interactive Technologies Inc., a provider of 3D kiosks, has partnered with Perrier Sparkling Mineral Water to test an augmented reality advertising campaign. As part of the campaign, a display will showcase 3D holographic images of Perrier products to lure in customers to use the kiosks' 2D touchscreen to gain a coupon, according to a press release.

The 3D Savings Center kiosk is built to boost the rate of coupon redemption by grabbing customers' attention with 3D images.

"Our 3D Savings Center provides the opportunity for advertisers to reinvent what is possible with respect to shopper marketing," Curt Thornton, COO, Provision, said in the release. "We are confident that during our testing phase, the 3D Savings Center will enable Perrier to break through the clutter by the use of augmented reality and generate product awareness and increase in-store purchases through coupon redemption."
