Panasonic's lottery digital signage hits jackpot

January 8, 2009

BARCELONA, Spain — Panasonic has announced that it completed a large screen rollout across Spain in partnership with Sistemas Técnicos de Loterías (STL), the company which runs the Spanish Lottery. More than 2,000 of Panasonic's 42-inch professional plasma displays were rolled out in Phase One of the project, which lasted from February to April 2008.

4,000 stores featuring STL offerings recieved a communications systems refresh. Panasonic screens wereinstalled into 2,200 of the stores. With digital signage in place, STL's key messages, such as lottery results information, advertising and promotions and new games & special offers, are now automatically and remotely updated. The network also runs news spots and advertising from third party companies.
