OOH advertising revenue rose by 3.8 percent in the third quarter of 2018, compared to 2017, and DOOH accounted for 28 percent of total OOH spending, according to a report by The Outdoor Advertising Association of America.
"OOH was strong across all four primary formats — billboards, street furniture, transit, and place-based – with the digital OOH sector representing 28 percent of the total," Nancy Fletcher, CEO and president, OAAA, said in the report. "The immersive and relevant nature of OOH continue to drive interest among brands."
Some of the top OOH advertisers included Geico, Amazon, Coca-Cola, Comcast, M&Ms and MillerCoors.
